About & disclosure

We only recommend what we'd pay for ourselves.

gigmio is a small shop. We pick problems from search demand, then price both ways of solving them — buying a product, or paying a freelancer — and write down what we find. When a route isn't worth the money we say so, including when the honest answer is to do it yourself and spend nothing.

01

Demand picks the problem

Search data decides which problems get a page at all — never a seller, never a commission rate.

02

Both routes get priced

Buying the thing and hiring someone are costed side by side, in their own units. Sometimes the honest answer is neither.

03

Nothing gets a score it didn't earn

Products carry Amazon's own published figures. Freelance routes carry no score at all, because we haven't bought them. Empty shelves stay empty until they aren't.

Where our numbers come from

Products. The star rating, review count and units-sold figure on every product card are published by Amazon; we don't invent them and we don't average them with anything. Which product gets the slot is decided by one written rule applied to those two public signals — the rule is printed in full on each product page so you can disagree with it. We have not physically tested these products, and we say so on the page rather than implying otherwise.

Prices. We show a band, never a live price. Amazon requires displayed prices to be pulled and refreshed through their product API; we don't run that integration, so rather than show a number that may be stale we show the range the product sat in when we last looked and send you to Amazon for the real one. Freelance prices are the marketplace's own package ranges.

Freelance routes. We have not commissioned this work, so we do not review sellers and we publish no score for them — a number would imply a test that didn't happen. What those cards contain is cost-structure analysis: the marketplace's own published price range, the shape of the spend (per episode, per room, per month), and reasoning about what the route can and cannot do for you. They carry a Route analysis · not tested label everywhere they appear.

What we haven't done yet

We have not bought a single freelance package. Until we do, every outsourcing route on this site is analysis rather than a review, and it says so on the card. Most of the categories in the full list have no ranking at all yet and are marked ranking soon — we would rather show you an empty shelf than fill it with guesses. If a page ever carries a score, it will be because we paid for the work and can describe what arrived.

Affiliate disclosure

Most outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you order through one, the marketplace pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. The two marketplaces pay very differently, and it's worth knowing how, because the incentives aren't the same:

Fiverr pays a fixed amount per first-time buyer, set by category — identical no matter which seller or which package you order, so there is nothing to gain by steering you to a pricier tier. Amazon pays a percentage of what you spend, and the percentage varies by category — roughly 4.5% on kitchen, 3% on furniture and home improvement, 2.5% on electronics. That does create an incentive to push you toward pricier products in better-paying categories, so you should know two things: the categories we cover are chosen from search demand before any commission rate is looked up, and every product page states the rate we'd earn on that item next to the rule that put it there. Judge us on whether the rule and the rate line up.

Every price and range on this site was last checked July 2026, and all of them can change without notice. Questions, corrections or a problem you want us to price? hello@gigmio.com
