What this site knows about you.
Short version: we run no accounts, no forms and no advertising. We do run one analytics tool, and it sets cookies. Below is exactly what it records and who else sees something when you load a page — named rather than buried.
What we collect
Analytics. This site runs Google Analytics 4. It records which pages you viewed and in what order, roughly where you are (derived from your IP, which Google truncates before storing), your device and browser, and which site or search sent you. It sets cookies — the ones named _ga and _ga_<id> — so that two visits from the same browser count as one person rather than two. We look at this in aggregate to see which pages are worth writing more of. We cannot see who you are from it, and we have not connected it to advertising.
Everything else: nothing. There is no login, no newsletter box and no comment form. If you email us we obviously have your email — we keep the thread until the question is settled and we do not add you to anything.
Opting out. Blocking cookies for this site, or Google's own opt-out extension, removes you from this entirely. Nothing on the site breaks if you do — the analytics is for us, not for you.
Who else sees something when you load a page
Google. Beyond the analytics above, Google's tag itself loads from their servers, so they see the request. Same company, separate mechanism — worth stating rather than folding into one line.
Amazon. Product photographs on this site are loaded live from Amazon's own servers rather than copied onto ours — their licence requires it. The practical consequence is that your browser requests those images directly from Amazon, so Amazon receives your IP address and browser details on any page showing a product, whether or not you click anything. Most affiliate sites never mention this. Amazon's use of that data falls under their privacy notice, not ours.
Google Fonts. Two typefaces load from Google's font CDN, which likewise sees your IP. This is avoidable — self-hosting the files removes Google from the page entirely — and it is on our list.
Amazon and Fiverr, if you click through. Following an outbound link takes you onto their site, where they set their own cookies to record that we sent you. That cookie is how a commission would eventually be attributed. It is set by them, on their domain, under their policies — we cannot read it and we never see who you are or what you bought. At most we would later see an aggregate count in a dashboard.
Where the site is served from
Our host keeps standard web server logs — IP address, time, page requested — for security and abuse handling. That is ordinary infrastructure logging, not a profile of you, and we do not query it to study visitors.
No data is sold, rented or shared with anyone. There is nothing here to sell.
