How much does packaging design cost?
$150–$600 is the range sellers actually publish for this on Fiverr — we haven't independently verified it yet.
Dielines, print specs and mockups — the part templates can't fake.
Fiverr's seller tiers are public and so are their criteria. What we can't tell you yet is whether paying up actually buys you more here — that needs us to commission the work, and we haven't.

Can you just do it yourself?
2% of the search demand looks like DIY intent. Needs structural and print-production knowledge that templates simply do not carry.
We don't read that as competition for this work: the people using the free tools and the people hiring aren't the same decision-maker.
What a ranking here would turn on
Packaging is the category where outsourcing wins hardest: structure and print knowledge don't come with a Canva subscription. The ranking will turn on one thing: whether the files that arrive are actually press-ready.
Four things worth settling first
None of these need us to have tested anything. They are the questions that decide whether the thing you get back is usable, and they are all cheaper to ask now than to argue about later.
- 1Get the dieline from your printer first and send it with the brief. Sellers who build one from scratch get it wrong more often.
- 2Match bleed and safe area to your printer's spec sheet, not a generic template.
- 3Ask whether spot colours or Pantone matching are in scope — it changes both price and printer.
- 4Confirm the delivered file opens in whatever format your printer asks for, before you approve it.

We have no ranking to offer here yet, so the honest thing is to send you to the marketplace rather than pretend otherwise. Anything outside $150–$600 is worth a second look before ordering.
